Vrindavan is accessible by road and rail from every major /important cities like Delhi, Agra and Mathura.
Road:  Vrindavan is connected to Mathura and all other places of interest in Braj by bus services and is placed on direct road link from Delhi and Agra. Getting to Vrindavan from Mathura is very easy as there are frequent buses, shared tempos, and taxis available throughout the day.

On NH 2. Mathura is connected to all parts of the country with good roads. Some road distances to important centers in the region are:

  • Alwar 228 km
  • Bharatpur 39 km
  • Deeg 42 km
  • Delhi 147 km
  • Vrindaban 15 km

Rail:  Though Vrindavan itself is a railway station, the major and nearby railway station is Mathura on the Delhi-Chennai and Delhi-Mumbai main line. Several express trains connect Mathura from other major cities of India like Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore, Kolkata and Agra.

Air: The nearest airport is Agra around 67 km away from Vrindavan. Regular flights connect Vrindavan to other important tourist destinations of India such as Delhi, Mumbai, Varanasi, and Khajuraho. The nearest international airport is Delhi, which is connected to almost every important city in the world with major airlines.

Local Transport

Cycle rickshaws, Auto rickshaws and rented vehicles can be used to go here and there around the town. The lanes are crowded and it is better to station one's vehicle at one place and walk around.
