Hyderabad is accessible by road, rail and air from every major /important city and most of the states of India. A few international flights also operates to and from Hyderabad.

 

By Road : The Andra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) connects hyderabad to every major city and town. Express and luxury coaches are available for inter-city and interstate services. The APSRTC city control is at Ranigunj Depot at Secunderabad. Several private travel services which are run by various tour operators or travel agents are also available.

Many transportable private cars and taxis for long distance travel are available in Hyderabad, operated by Andra Pradesh Travel and Tourism Development Corporation (APTTDC) and private operators.

Hyderabad is also well-connected by National Highways. It is connected by road to Banglore(590 km), Visakhapatnam(667 km), Chennai(671 km), Goa (698) km, Mumbai (713 km).

By Rail : Indian railway, which is the world's largest railway under a single management, today is divided into nine zones. Secunderabad is the twin-city of Hyderabad and also is the headquarters of the South Central Zone. All major trains stops or departs from here. Hyderabad is the major point of arrival or departure.

Hyderabad / Secunderabad are connected by rail with major cities.

By Air : Indian airlines, East West airlines, Jet airways, Modiluft, Sahara Air, Vayudoot, etc are main operating flights in and out of Hyderabad.

Hyderabad is connected by air with Ahemdabad, Bhubaneshwar, Kolkotta, Chennai, Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, Tirupati and Visakhapatnam.

Travel Tips:

City Transport
Golconda Fort is around 11-km from Hyderabad. Auto rickshaws and Taxis are available apart from luxury/semi-luxury buses, for local transportation.
