By Bus : Most of the major National Highways connects Bangalore to Chennai and Mumbai. Bangalore is well connected with Chennai and Pune through NH 4, to Hyderabad (565 km) and Kanyakumari (719 km) through NH 7 and Mangalore (349 km) on NH 48. Chennai is accessible via Dharmapuri and Vellore (340 km). 

Buses of Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Kerala State Transport Corporations, and a large number of private roadways connect Bangalore with all the major centers of the state. The interstate bus terminus of Bangalore is situated in Subashnagar near Majestic Circle and faces the Bangalore City Railway Station.

The Main bus terminal in the city is situated in opposite to City Railway Station.

By Rail : Bangalore is well-connected to the National Capital by the Rajdhani Express which runs weekly and Karnataka Express which runs daily. It is also connected with Ahmedabad, Chennai (Madras), Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kolkata (Calcutta), Mangalore, Mumbai (Bombay), Mysore, Thiruvananthapuram,   and  by several express/super fast (mail) trains. Such as Brindavan Express, Lalbagh Express and Shatabhi Express connect Bangalore to Chennai. Mysore (140 km) is just 2.5 to 3 hours from Bangalore by train.

The main terminal in Bangalore is the City Railway Station.

By Air : Bangalore is well-connected to all the four metropolitan cities and other major places by air. Regular flights operate from Bangalore to  Delhi, Mumbai (Bombay), Kolkata (Calcutta), Chennai (Madras), Trivandrum, Hyderabad, Goa, Kochi, Ahmedabad, Cochin, Coimbatore, Delhi, Goa and Mangalore and vice-versa. Also a few international flights travel directly from Singapore, Dubai, London, Oman, Hong Kong and Saudi.

Booking offices of all international airlines are located in Bangalore. Bangalore Airport is 8 km from the M.G. Road area and is 6 km away from the heart of the city.
