Ingredients:
Meat : 1 kg
Cooking Oil : 100 gm
Whole Garam Masala :1 tsp
Garam Masala Powder:1 tsp
Bay Leaf:3/4 nos
Garlic Paste :1tbsp
Yogurt :2 tbsp
Ginger Paste:2 tbsp
Onion :2 large
Turmeric powder :1tsp
Red Chili Powder :2tsp
Corrainder Powder (Dhania Powder):2tsp
large Potato:2
Ghee : 2 tbsp
Roasted (cumin and red cilli) powder : 1 tbsp
Direction
Wash the Meat and make small pieces . Cut the potatoes
into small cubes like mutton piece . Add garlic and
ginger paste to the meat. Also add the yogurt to the
meat. Let it marinate for 30 min. Heat the oil in a pan.
Add the bay leaf and the whole garam masala . Fry it for
30 seconds. Then add sliced onions and fry it till light
brown. Add garam masala powder . After 30 sec add the
red chilli, turmeric and corrainder powder and fry it on
slow heat till oil starts coming out. Add little water
if the spices starts to stick to the bottom of the pan.
Add the marinated meat, and potatoes. Fry it on slow
heat (around 45 min) till it becomes dry and oil starts
coming out. Remove the potatoes (make sure they are
boiled properly) from the pan and add 1 cup water. Boil
the meat in a closed pan for another 1 hour, stirring
frequently as required till the meat become tender. Once
the meat is tender add the potatoes , ghee , roasted
cumin ,roasted red chilli powder and mix it. Serve hot
with Paratha or Rice.
