Ingredients:
2 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. milk
2 tbsp. cocoa
1/2 c. margarine
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. peanut butter, smooth or chunky
3 c. quick cooking rolled oats
1 tsp. vanilla
Direction:
In a large saucepan, mix sugar,
milk, cocoa, margarine and salt. Bring to a boil over
medium-high heat and boil 1 minute. Remove from heat. Add
peanut butter and stir until dissolved. Add oats, stirring in
1 cup at a time. Add vanilla and mix well. Wait 2-3 minutes,
then drop batter by teaspoonfuls on wax paper or aluminum
foil. Cool. Makes 5 dozen cookies.
