Ingredients:
1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 1/4 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. milk
1 lemon rind, grated
1/2 c. chopped pecans (optional)
Direction:
Combine butter, sugar and eggs
in large mixing bowl. Thoroughly blend in flour and baking
powder and milk. Stir in lemon rind and nuts. Grease and flour
loaf pan. Bake for 40 minutes at 325 degrees. Mix juice of
lemon and 1/3 cup sugar and pour over bread while warm.
