Ingredients:
3 tbsp. oil
1 1/2 lbs. stew meat
1 to 2 bay leaves
1 med. onion, chopped
Salt & pepper to taste
3 to 4 med. potatoes, diced
1 lg. or 2 (16 oz.) cans pork & beans
1 jar (32 oz.) Claussen's sauerkraut or cans to equal amount
Direction:
In 5 quart pot add oil. Add stew
meat, sprinkle with flour, salt, and pepper, brown meat. Add
onions, saute with meat. Add 2 quarts (8 cups) water and bay
leaves. Bring to a boil, simmer until meat is tender, about 1
hour. Add potatoes, beans and kraut. Cook until potatoes are
done.
