Ingredients:

 

Cake:

 

1 stick butter or margarine
1/2 c. Crisco
2 c. sugar
5 egg yolks
2 c. cake flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 can coconut
1 c. nuts

 

Icing:

 

1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1/2 stick margarine
1 box powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. pecans, chopped
Milk (not quite 1/4 c.) (just enough
to make it spreadable)
 

Direction:


Mix the above ingredients. Fold in 5 egg whites, beaten stiff. Pour into 3 greased cake pans. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes at 350 degrees.
