Ingredients:
1 c.
sugar
2 c. peeled & diced apples
1 egg, well beaten
1 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped pecans or walnuts
Mix sugar and apples. Add egg when sugar is dissolved. Sift
flour, soda and cinnamon together. Add to apple mixture. Add
vanilla and nuts. Pour into greased and floured 8 inch cake
pan. Bake at 375 degrees for 40 minutes. --HOT BUTTER SAUCE:--
Pour over hot cake. 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. light brown sugar
2 tbsp. flour
1 c. water
1/2 c. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
Direction: Combine first 4
ingredients. Bring to a boil until clear. Add butter and
vanilla, stir until butter is melted. Delicious but rich!
