Ingredients:
Cake:
Mix in large bowl: 2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. oil
3 eggs
Sift in together: 1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
3 c. flour
Icing:
1 stick butter
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. evaporated milk or apple
juice or just add regular milk
Direction:
3 c. raw apples, sliced 1
1/2 c. nuts 1 tsp. vanilla Mix all ingredients and grease a 13
x 9 x 2 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for one hour. Make icing
while cake is baking. Take cake out, cut into squares. Pour
icing on top while hot. Cook 2 1/2 minutes after it begins to
boil. Add 1 teaspoon vanilla and spoon over cake.
