Charlize Theron studied dance and performed with New York's Joffrey Ballet.
She went to Italy (Milan) to attend fashion shows when she was 16 years old, where She won a modeling contest.
At the age of four, Charlize had aspirations of becoming a prima ballerina.
When she was 18 years old, then her caring mother sent her to Los Angeles. Within two weeks, a talent agent discovered her in a bank and insisted that she give him a call. Eight months later, Charlize appeared in her first film,
"Two Days in the Valley".
She became celebrity in her second film "That Thing You Do".
Charlize went on to star in movies such as The Cider House Rules, Mighty Joe Young, Reindeer Games and, most recently, Sweet November.
