Brigitte was attempting to model, finding herself in the French magazine Elle.
She was discovered in 1950 by Roger Vadim. Her beauty readily apparent, Brigitte soon attempted films. In 1952, she appeared on screen for the first time as Javotte Lemoine in Trou normand.
She got success in French films, Brigitte made her first US production in the
year of 1953 with Kirk Douglas. After back to France Brigitte continued to star in French productions. The
enthrallment of her in the US consisted of magazines photographs and dubbed over French films. She was and always would be a totally French product.
However, she was very popular in the USA. In the year of 1965, she appeared as herself in the US made Dear Brigitte, with James Stewart.
She prefers life outside of celebrity. While it enabled her to become internationally
famous. She is so soft hearted that some people even have taken advantage of her
kindness.
