Bijou started her modeling carrier when she was 13 years old, and
quickly became one of the youngest people to elegance the covers of Interview and the Italian edition of Vogue. She also appeared in several controversial Calvin Klein ads. At age 17, she recorded her first album, I'd Rather Eat Glass, produced by The Cars' Jerry Harrison.
