Beyonce met with LaTavia Roberson when she was 7 years old, and
started auditioning for a children's group.
The group is managed by Music World Management's Matthew Knowles. The group, who looked for
motivation from The Supremes and the Jackson, they started out playing local small events until they had their TV debut on Star Search.
The band's debut album Destiny's Child was released in 1998. Many awards nominations and accolades started to come the girls' way including
three awards in 1998.
In the year of 1999 the album The Writing's On The Wall was released and went into the top ten Billboard album chart.
In the year of 2000 Le Toya Luckett and La Tavia Roberson left the group because of creative differences with the management. They were replaced by Michelle Williams and Farrah Franklin. Just
five months later Farrah Franklin left the group.
Beyonce made a couple of movies, the first a remake of the classic Carmen in Hip-Hop style.
Her second film was in the Austin Powers in Goldmember movie where she played Foxy Cleopatra.
