"This romantic comedy starting on a couple deep in
argument when dearest husband flips his lid seeing
the bill of necklace bought by Hasmukh Mehta's wife
(Rati Agnihotri).
Their conflicts heat up further, Hasmukh (Dharmendra) throws his wife's diamond necklace out of their apartment window.
It accidentally hits Meena Madhok (Mallika Sherawat), who falls to the ground. During this incident, she spoils her clothes.
To make up for his irrational behaviour, Hasmukh decides to buy Meena a pair of earrings to go with the necklace. He even drops her home in his chauffeur driven car.
But Hasmukh's kind gesture is misunderstood by her close associates and friends - they think Meena is his mistress. This further complicates his married life which leads to some hilarious scenes between the husband and wife.
Meanwhile, Hasmukh's son, Harish, who has long gone to make a living on his own without the aid of dad's money, meets up with Meena and falls in love with her.
