Victoria day is a celebration dating back more that 100 years. Queen Victoria was born on May 24th, 1819. The celebration known as Victoria day originally was called Empire day and Common Wealth day. Victoria day is a day of honor, queen Victoria who was there first teenager to become a queen at age of 18 years.

People dress up in colorful clothes from different countries to dance on Victoria day. They perform parades and shows on the streets. People also exchange gifts and wishes on this day, family re-union, outdoor and indoor party is also common on this day.

At the night, fireworks held in different places and people from different places get together to watch the fireworks. Victoria day is a national holiday so everyone gets the day off.

Victoria Day also treated in some special way in Canada. People in Canada celebrates this special holiday, as most of the people who celebrate this Victoria Day, think Victoria Day as a patriotic holiday. This holiday originated from England because the Canadians recognize the British queen as their queen.
