Heart People
Materials: Construction Paper (Red, White, Pink)
Pen or Pencil
Glue
Scissors
Markers or Crayons to decorate hearts
Directions: Using red, white and pink construction paper, trace
and cut different sizes of hearts ranging in size from two to six
inches. Glue the hearts together in different combinations to form heart
people, using large hearts for the head and body, smaller ones for arms
and legs, etc. You can also try making Heart Animals. Draw on eyes,
noses, ears and whiskers!!

Valentine Picture Frames
Materials: Cardboard
Construction Paper (Red, White, Pink)
Pen or Pencil
Glue
Scissors
Markers or Crayons to decorate hearts (optional)
Magnets (optional)
Directions: Make simple frames - heart shaped - from cardboard
and red or pink construction paper. Use the cardboard shape for the
back. Use the construction paper for front. Cut out shape so picture can
be put between both. (Choose picture of your favorite sweetie or
children) Glue edges when all together. Glue a magnet to the back for
hanging on the refrigerator.

Valentine Candy Jars
Materials: Baby food jar and lid, washed, rinsed, and dried
Craft Paint in Various Colors
Paint Brushes
Paint Markers in Various Colors
Candy
Directions: Use the paint markers to draw on a few hearts on the
side of the jar. You may wish to add a TO/FROM on the jar itself as
well. Let dry. Paint the lid of the jar with craft paint. Let dry. Paint
Valentine's Day designs on the lid if desired. Let dry. Fill the jar
with Valentine candy. Then fasten the lid on the jar.

Valentine Wreath
Materials: Styrofoam Wreath
Red Cellophane Paper
Construction Paper in Various Valentine's Day Colors
Scissors
Glue
Tape
Yarn or Ribbon
Directions: Take Styrofoam wreath and cover with red cellophane
paper. Cut out different sized hearts from the construction paper.
Decorate wreath with hearts. Use the Ribbon and Yarn for accents if
desired.
