Introduction :
We celebrate "Puthandu Vazthukal" (Tamil New Year) on 13th April, The day starts with viewing the 'kanni' at dawn, in the expectation that beginning the New Year by looking at auspicious or favorable things will bring good fortune throughout the year. The auspicious things include gold and silver jewelers, betel leaves, nuts, fruits and vegetables, flowers, raw rice and coconuts. The highlight of the festival is the "Maanga Pachadi"; it is a dish which obtains mangoes, jaggery and neem flowers. However 13th April is the grate time to us, so enjoy this occasion with your friends, family and dear ones, also make them happy on this beautiful day.
