Introduction :
Every
year we celebrate St. Severus's Day on 1st February. St. Severus was born to a poor peasant family. He was a shepherd in his youth. Then became Priest, Monk, Abbot and then Bishop of Avranches. In his later years, he resigned and returned to monastic life.
