Introduction :
Many
people of India celebrate Kite Day on Makar Sankranti heralding the transition of the sun into the Northern hemisphere.
People of all ages gather on veranda or rooftops and engage in kite flying. There
have a musical atmosphere in the air and a traditional delicacies are specially
prepared for this day. The Gujarat State Tourism Corporation organizes an International Kite Festival every year and the venue of the event is either the Sardar Patel Stadium or the Police Stadium in Ahmedabad. This festival
invites international kite flyers and local champions as well, who express
their skills in flying exotic kites. Everyone joins in this revolutionary
celebration. In Calcutta they celebrate kite fling day on the day
of Viswakarma Puja.
Kite flying begins at dawn and continues without a pause throughout the
day. Friends, battle one another for supremacy and cries of success rend
the air when someone cuts the line of a rival. There seen variety of
wonderful kites, and the authority can choose precisely what they
wants.
