Introduction : "Shogatsu"
is the Japanese New Year; it is a very important Japanese holiday. All
countries are not celebrating New Year at the same time and same way.
Because the people are different parts of the world use different
calendars. Long time ago, people divided time into days, months, and
years. Some calendars are based on the movement of the moon; and others
are based on the position of the sun, even as others are based on both
the sun and the moon.
In Japan, they celebrate New Year on 1st January, and also
the Japanese keep some beliefs from their religion, which is called
"Shinto". To keep out evil spirits, they hang a lead of straw
across the front of their houses, because it is showing their good luck.
For this reason wish all your Japanese friends a happy and prosperous
New Year with your favorite site rumela.
