The South Carolina Festival of Roses celebrates the beginning of the rose blooming season. It is one of the oldest festivals in the state and is a top twenty tourism event in the southeast. The activities are centered in Orangeburg's Edisto Memorial Gardens, where thousands of roses bloom near the banks of the Edisto River. This festival was started as a vision held by a group of citizens seeking a way to enhance the development of Orangeburg and improve the quality of life for its residents. And the first festival was held in the year of 1972. Now-a days the format has changed over the years, but the basic concept has remained the same an abundance of beautiful roses, however celebrate these vibrant and beautiful flowers with your friends, family and dear ones, also send them a lovely floral wishes.
