History & Celebration:
Buddha Day is celebration of Vesak, the holiday which commemorates the birth, enlightenment, and death of Shakyamuni Buddha, the founder of Buddhism. Buddha Purinma important festival for Buddhists. Siddhartha was born over two thousand five hundred years ago an full moon day of vaishakh in 544 BC to king Suddhodana family. When Buddha was born then it was confirmed that he will become sage and teacher if he sees old age, death, disease and hermit. 

As a Royal child, Prince Siddhattha have received an traditional education. 

When  Siddhartha was 16 years old then he married a beautiful cousin Princess Yasodhara. After passing his 13 years happy marriage life, Siddhartha led his luxurious life, supremely ignorant of the vicissitudes of life outside the palace gates. 
He came out of the place & saw diseased man, an old man, a corpse and a hermit when Siddhattha was 29 years old. Seeing all these he left the palace in Quest of truth and knowledge and Known as Gautham. He wandered and at the last he sat under a Bodhi tree at Gaya and mediated and became progressive, and known as Buddha.

He started his journey from Gaya and continued through Saranath, China, Japan and Sri lanka.

Now Gaya is a sacred place for Buddhists.
